21st Century American: The Adventures of an Expatriate in Europe
I have started a new blog at Open:Salon entitled, 21st Century American: The Adventures of an Expatriate in Europe. I intend to use the Open:Salon platform as a medium to express my thoughts and reflections of what it is like to be, as the title clearly states, an “American” in the 21st Century.
I will be very “Open” and express a level of candor that I deem appropriate to help shed light on my experiences living and traveling away from America for the last 9 years. Yes, I have not returned to the United States for almost 9 years. And, in this time I have experienced America only through the media and contact / correspondence with family, friends and the occasional traveler I have run across in my journeys.
I have come to appreciate America in ways I could only have by living abroad and I will share these insights with you.
